Marc Moore founded Moore Physical Therapy in 2002 at its current location. He was born and raised locally in Mesa, Arizona. He Graduated in 1999 from Northern Arizona University with his Masters in Physical Therapy. He has been actively involved in the East Valley as a community volunteer. His love is, spending time with his wife Michelle cheering on his 5 children in their various pursuits. Personal interests include coaching, running, camping, travel, and fishing.
Todd Gooch grew up in Mesa and has spent most of his life in Arizona. He worked in athletic training at Arizona State University while he pursued his bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Todd earned his doctorate degree in physical therapy at the University of St. Augustine in Florida. He has been working in the East valley providing physical therapy since 2002. Todd has experience in treating patients in clinical and home settings. When he is not working, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, physical fitness, local sports, and attending church.
Rebecca Nelson grew up in Arizona and after PT school moved out of state for 5 years (Oregon and northern California). Rebecca and her husband moved back in 2020 to be closer to family. She enjoys going to the gym/lifting, running, and hiking, as well as reading and listening to podcasts. She enjoys going to local breweries and taking her dog on walks with her husband. The thing she loves most about being a physical therapist is empowering patients and teaching them what they can do to optimize their abilities and see them return to the activities and hobbies they love. Her husband is also a physical therapist (he works at MPT, too!). They have a boxer-pitt mix named Slater and are expecting their first baby in the Spring! Rebecca went to the University of Arizona for her undergrad and Northern Arizona University for PT school. She has wanted to be a PT since 8th grade, the first time she attended PT as a patient. She has always enjoyed learning about the human body and how it functions and loves how movement and strength training can positively impact a person's quality of life. She is also certified in Dry Needling. Those that know Rebecca love that she is thoughtful, thorough, and empathetic.
Jacob Boehme is the Clinic Director for the Gold Canyon clinic.
Jacob is an Arizona native who was born and raised in Mesa, AZ. He and his wife have been married for 5 years and have 2 kids, ages 4 and 2. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and playing the drums. Many find him to be personable, caring, and attentive to details. He loves educating patients about their condition, encouraging them, and guiding them back to the activities they love. He decided at 15 years old to become a PT when he attended physical therapy as a patient. He witnessed the influence his PT had by assisting him to return to playing sports, and he wanted to have that same impact on others. He attended PT school at Northern Arizona University in Phoenix and graduated in March 2021. He is certified in Dry Needling and has been trained in Spinal Manipulation.
Those who know Chris love his smart subtle humor and quick wit. He has an uncanny awareness of people's needs and interests. He is an excellent diagnostician and skilled teacher. No morning hour is too early for Chris to tackle a challenging 50+ mile cycle, winter or summer. Great to have Chris back after a 12-year hiatus from Moore PT.
Lindsi was born and raised in Arizona and is married with four great kids. Lindsi graduated from ASU in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in secondary education mathematics. In 2018, after discovering physical therapy due to an injury, Lindsi went back to earn her PTA certificate from Gateway Community College. Lindsi is dedicated, hard working and personable. She loves being active: running, Pilates, yoga, paddle boarding, pickle ball, volleyball, you name it. She is also passionate about studying the body and how to keep it healthy and moving! She enjoys helping people get stronger and back to doing things they love. Lindsi is certified as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Lani Glad is the first contact most people have with Moore PT and we are fortunate to have such a warm, inviting, and caring person as the face of the clinic. She has worked in physical therapy for 10 years in both patient care and front office capacities. Family time is her favorite thing. She also loves to return to her native California beaches.
Tami Hassell has been at Moore PT since the opening day back in 2002. Her 13 years experience in office management and physical medicine billing are invaluable to our patients as well as the success of the clinic. She and her husband have deep roots in the Mesa area. She loves spending time with family.
Cindy Dunnum is one of the first contacts that people have with Moore PT. Cindy was born in South Dakota but has been living in Arizona for 39 years and calls it home! She has worked as a Patient Care Coordinator for over 3 years with Moore PT and continues to help with your plan of care to fit your needs. Cindy and her husband Steve live in Mesa and have been married for 20 years. They enjoy going to Disneyland and traveling. Cindy has two children, a daughter Valerie and a son Andrew, she has 4 grandchildren, Adrik, Ashton, Alton, and Madison. She loves being with her family and friends. Cindy is passionate about helping others and bringing a little sunshine to the people around her. She loves being a part of a winning team that truly cares about its patients.
Jodi was born in Illinois but grew up in the military and has lived in many locations. She is primarily from Arizona and has lived there off and on for over 40 years. She has been married for 38 years and has 3 children (2 girls and a boy) and 5 grandchildren (2 boys and 3 girls). She would be described as friendly, competent, and efficient. She loves to garden and play with her grandchildren. She is passionate about religion and family. She loves her job because people often come in feeling pain and she gets to see them get better and helps make it possible for them to financially reach their physical goals.
Shantele Peterson has resided in the Phoenix Metro area since 1988 but still considers Orem, Utah a piece of home. She and her husband Sterling were married in 1993 and have raised two magnificent children who live and work in the valley. Shantele enjoys spending time with her immediate and large extended family playing games, cooking, socializing, and traveling. She loves to dance, snowboard, wake surf, hike, do yoga, and connect with others. Three words that could describe Shantele are: intuitive, compassionate, and inquisitive. Shantele began dancing as a toddler which ignited a passion for the art form throughout her life. She went to ASU on a full scholarship to attain her BFA in Dance with a K-12 teaching accreditation. After a 25 year career of teaching dance, she retired from the profession to pursue her interests in Physical Therapy. As a young dance major at ASU, Shantele's Dance Kinesiology class sparked her interests in PT and she determined that if she were ever to go back to school, she would study Physical Therapy. Shantele completed her certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant through GCC with clinical applications in orthopedic outpatient clinics specializing in spine, neurological, and aquatic therapy. Shantele has always had a love for movement and a keen understanding of the way proper biomechanics can prevent injury and also heal physical infirmities. Her professional dance career has given her a unique understanding of the mechanics of the human body and its application in therapeutic settings. She finds great joy in educating her patients with proper techniques for attaining better health and longevity of active lifestyles. Shantele loves her career change and has immense satisfaction in seeing her patients' quality of life improve through the practice. She especially loves her Moore Physical Therapy team and firmly believes there is not a better place to be employed as a PTA.
Joe Rasor has been a Physical Therapist for over 23 years. He graduated from PT school at Northern Arizona University in 1999. He also has a Masters Degree in biochemistry from Northern Arizona University. He chose to become a PT because it is a healing art where he gets to spend one on one time listening, helping, and understanding each patient's unique and diverse needs and goals. He spent the first few years of his life on the Navajo Reservation in Tuba City, Arizona. He then moved to the four corners area of New Mexico where he graduated from high school. Joe returned to Arizona to go to college at Northern Arizona University. He has now been in Arizona for 33 years. He has a creative, fun wife who is also his best friend, and they have 10 kids. (And now 2 sons in law.) They love doing family things, rock-hounding, 4x4 adventures, and finding seashells at the beach. In his years as a PT, he has been blessed with many opportunities to serve in a variety of roles and settings. He brings a vast knowledge and skill set to Moore Physical Therapy. He is passionate about listening to people and helping them to recover and heal. He loves the team aspect of Moore PT and loves to create a strong team and family where we all work and learn together. He is certified in Dry Needling, Vestibular, Balance, and Fall Prevention. He is also trained in Osteopathic care. His friends and family would describe him as nurturing, kind, and a teacher. (And incredibly hilarious!)
David Skolnik was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. David moved to Gilbert, AZ, with his wife Rebecca in 2020. You're most likely to find David in the gym. He loves lifting weights, competes and coaches Powerlifting and is passionate about teaching as many people as possible how to cultivate strength in their own lives. As a therapist, David has always loved patient care because of the ability to educate and empower people to do more than they ever thought they were capable of. Three words that could describe David are: Outgoing, Empathetic and Patient.
Kami's full name is Kamira Buchler but she prefers to go by Kami. She was born in California. She moved to Colorado when I was 2, then moved to Arizona in 1972. She graduated high school in 1982 from Apache Junction and was married that same year. She home-schooled her 4 kids. She and her husband raised their kids on over 100 acres of land, where we raised ALL of our own food, fruits, veggies, meat, etc. She made all of their cheese and bread, canned their food, processed their chickens, and milked the cows. All of her kids have grown up and moved away now. She moved into "civilization" and, at some point, wants to get back to that lifestyle on a limited basis, more like urban farming. We will see what the future holds! She loves working in the Physical Therapy setting, it is moving, flowing, and active. She doesn't ever want to retire! She enjoys Moore Physical Therapy because the people are just a comfortable fit.
Megan was born and raised in Arizona. She moved to Idaho in 2019 to go to school at BYUI. She married her forever best friend, Clayton Sheppard in January 2021! She graduated from BYUI in April 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in graphic design. Megan and her husband have a cute mini Goldendoodle puppy, named Mollie, who lights up their world! She has worked for Moore Physical Therapy in various roles and positions. She loves being an executive assistant because she loves being able to help Marc create a fun & rewarding environment for those that work at MPT. Megan loves spending her free time making homemade sourdough bread, playing card games, and exploring the outdoors. She enjoys spending time with her family, and friends.
