Mechelle Hook, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

I was born and raised in Japan and moved to the U.S. when I was 18. After working a few different jobs after high school (retail, barista, bank teller) I made the decision to pursue a career in Physical Therapy to become a PTA. I got my PTA degree at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ.

I believe having a positive and caring attitude , empathy, and respect towards others is key to a happy life.

“believe you can and you’re halfway there”

When patients lose confidence performing their daily tasks or things that they love doing due to their physical or mental limitations. I love to raise them up and build their confidence to get back to doing what want to do!

In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking, hiking, playing with my dog, and traveling.

I have been coming to Moore Physical Therapy because of a hip replacement. When you first enter the building you are greeted with wonderful smiles and kindness. Jodi, Rebecca and Mechelle have been working with me. They take the time to listen to me, ask me new questions to see if they need to adjust my treatment each time I come in. I feel like I get personal care, that they put a lot of effort into my treatment plan. You never feel like your just a name on a piece of paper, they truly care about you and want you to reach your goal. Then we have Korryn and Savanah. They make everything have some fun in it. They can make the worst exercise seem like it could be fun. They don’t mind how many times they have to explain things to you. I would highly recommend Moore Physical Therapy to anyone out there.

I injured my shoulder in 2021 and nevered recovered full range of motion. As a result, I faced a cycle of reinjury/rest for over two years. Hoping to avoid surgery, I showed up at Moore Physical Therapy. Scott was a great listener and was confident I could avoid surgery by following his recommendations. He was right! I have regained full ROM and am getting stronger by the week and have been able to return to weight training and my sport (dragon boating). I especially appreciate the encouragement that I received from Scott and Michelle and the rest of the staff (Zach, Sariah, etc) when I felt like I had a setback. Very grateful that I went to Moore Physical Therapy! Highly recommend.

I just want to give a huge shout out to Moore Physical Therapy! I want to thank all the trainers (Scott, Jodi, Rebecca, Michelle, etc) and workers there who helped me get back to doing what I love! I wouldn’t be where I’m at now with my ACL recovery if it wasn’t for them, and for that I am forever grateful!!! Love all you guys!
