Our commitment

Moore Physical Therapy wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or rely on other assistive technology. We’ve worked to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in the Section 504 rule and widely used as the benchmark for web accessibility.

What we’ve done

This site was built and reviewed with accessibility as a requirement, not an afterthought. That includes:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, a skip-to-content link, and a logical heading structure on every page.
  • Descriptive alt text on every meaningful image, including staff photos, award badges, and the body map; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Keyboard access to every interactive element, with a visible focus indicator, and a mobile menu that keeps background content out of the tab order while it’s open.
  • Forms with real labels, autocomplete hints, and error messages that are announced to assistive technology and shown as text, not color alone.
  • Text and interface colors checked against WCAG’s contrast requirements, with fixes applied anywhere they fell short.
  • Motion that respects your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting, and content that stays readable if a script fails to load.

We test with automated tools and by navigating the site with a keyboard and a screen reader. Automated testing alone catches a fraction of real accessibility issues, so we treat it as a starting point, not the finish line.

Known limitations

We’re not aware of any perfect website, and we’d rather tell you where we’ve fallen short than pretend otherwise:

  • Embedded Google Maps. The map frames on our location pages are controlled by Google, not by us, and we can’t change how they behave for keyboard or screen reader users. Every location is also listed as plain text and a link, so you never need the map itself to find or contact a clinic.
  • Live Google reviews widget. The full reviews panel near the bottom of the homepage is pulled live from Google by a third-party embed we don’t control the internals of. Every review it shows is also readable directly on our Google profile, linked right next to it.
  • Downloadable forms. The Patient Intake Form, Pelvic Health Form, and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices on our Patient Forms page are PDF files hosted on our systems. We haven’t yet confirmed they meet PDF accessibility standards (tagging, reading order, and selectable text). If you need any of them in an accessible format, contact us below and we’ll get it to you directly.

We review this list as we find and fix issues, and we’ll update it as our known limitations change.

Feedback

If you run into anything on this site that’s hard to use with assistive technology, we want to hear about it. Tell us the page and what happened, and we’ll do our best to fix it.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
